Roberto Navazo was born in Ciudad Real in 1977. He studied in Pedro Almodóvar artistic education Hight-school.

At 16 years old he began his relationship with fashion, organizing non profit fashion shows. Later on he would do so but for fur and fashion companies. Some of his dresses were used to put an end to the shows. That was the begining of his career as a fashion designer.

He move to Madrid to study in the Arte2 artistic school where he got his degree in “Applied Arts” Section: Design. speciality: Fashion Design.

He kept organizing non profit fashion shows in Ciudad Real and Madrid, but this time showing his own collections. He also started selling them in Madrid shops as:No Coment , Mala Postura, Bourjois, Kamaleón….

Several courses related to Haute Couture, industrial patronage, product and managing design… are also on his curriculum:

In 2000 he started projects with RLM, “Big Concerts”, we can enphasize “GIRADOS” tour by Ana Torroja y Miguel Bosé (very famous Spanish singers), for wich he made the design and patronage for Ana Torroja dressing.

As well we can talk about his work in video clips and plays (E.g. Malú, La Celestina, for La Comunidad de Madrid).

In 2001 he opened his Atelier, where he makes wedding dresses and matron of honour tailormade. He also makes patronage, prototypes and product managing for several brands like:

  • Marisa de la Fuente (w. Benicassim 2001)
  • Olinda
  • David Delfin
  • Kayrel Sport Wear

And advertising clothes for spots y advertising like:

  • Wella.
  • Porsche.
  • Caribe Mexicano

 

Indigopatagonia. Hotel multiadventure in the chilean patagonia. He designed and made the uniforms to the hotel workers.

In 2006 he started participating in a collective project Destino Clan-destino. Underground Fair which travels through several Spanish cities, promoting new creators. (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Caceres, Burgos).

In 2007 he became a teacher in IED, Instituto Europeo di Design, subjets: Industrial Patronage, Industrial Prototypes and male Patronage.

Nowadays he continues enjoying the fashion, woking hard as a teacher, as a creator. Always in search artistic and historic inspirations in order to integrate them into his creations.
